New dA, maybe?

Last night I was thinking about this dA account and how nice it would be to rid myself of it's dust and just start on a clean slate. Perhaps it's something I will think on; although I admit that I'm still not a big fan of dA but I admit to liking the random visitor who leaves a lovely comment.

I like to post here and I do enjoy the company of most people. However what comes with pros, also comes with cons. I know many artists who've had work stolen for profit because of this site, and I know a lot of drama occurs here. A lot of drama. You'd have to be a special kind of ignorant to have not noticed.

Above all else, the decision remains to either delete this one or just start anew. Feel free to leave a comment to help me make my decision

Any popular art site is going to have art stolen, it's just a fact of life these days.

A clean slate is sometimes a really good idea, though I'd rather just get the same account without the "1" after my name

As for the drama. I don't notice it

Mostly beause I just don't care. I visit dA to look at the pretty pictures, read the journals of a select few and that's it. I don't read the forums, I don't check out the news. Doesn't interest me.

The first part is true, but it's all about loss-prevention, right? We'll see though. I particularly have a love/hate relationship with dA. It's mostly due to the site itself not working 60% of the time, though. Haha.

Yeah, I'm just not particularly fond of how this account is. There's just so much old stuff and I don't want to go back and rid myself of it. It's really just easier to start a new.

There's nothing interesting on the forums or the news posts. They're lame.

But... but... all your usernames on all your online things match! If you change this one, it'll break the continuity!
Maybe you should just put the entire gallery into storage and start with a fresh clean gallery?
